You had it,
but then life happened.

Too many people are walking around deeply exhausted, blocked and frozen, disconnected from what used to make them feel alive.

The heartbreaks of life, big and small, add up and then  slowly or suddenly you don’t feel like yourself anymore.

We can help. Let’s get going.

Nothing can change what
happened. Or what didn’t
happen. But a lot of things can
help.

A lot.

There are many paths to
healing and your path is
uniquely yours. Good therapy
can help you find it.

We all get hurt. You really can feel good again.

You can feel more joy, peace, and comfort in your life. And you can have deeper, more fulfilling relationships where you can love and feel loved. Therapy can help you figure out how.

Who We Help

We treat people, not conditions.

Therapy can help you improve the quality of your life. There are many starting points and just as many motivations for being in therapy. You may know precisely what in your life needs attention or you may not. It’s fine either way. Sometimes people want help with something specific, something they’re doing or not doing that’s causing problems for them or the people who love them. Some want a guide as they walk through something painful.

Whatever you’re dealing with, finding a therapist who is a great fit can make a world of difference. It can help you find your spark.

Your relationship with yourself. Maybe we’ll start there.

What sets us apart?

SPARK is an intentionally small, highly personalized practice in Atlanta that helps people heal from trauma and loss, build healthy relationships, and promote sexual wellness and personal growth. We have a deep commitment to understanding each person and their individual experiences, and we are open to exploring non-traditional strategies for wellness. By embracing innovative treatments like ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, we have great tools to help treat trauma, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, and suicidality.

Our practice is inclusive and affirming of diversity in thought and experience. As closely held values, we stay engaged in our own personal growth and evolution and maintain a commitment to welcome feedback from our clients and colleagues.

We love helping people feel better. You can feel vibrant, alive, and intimately connected – to yourself and to others. And we can help!

We are here to help.

In-Person Sessions

Our office is in the Virginia-Highland neighborhood of Atlanta on a quiet, mostly residential street just off the Beltline between Piedmont Park and Ponce City Market. We’ve created a private and comfortable space for individual, couples, and group counseling as well as ketamine-assisted psychotherapy sessions.

virtual sessions

We offer virtual therapy sessions for clients who prefer that or who aren’t able to come into the office for appointments. This increases accessibility and convenience for a lot of our clients. These online sessions are secure, flexible, and designed to fit into your schedule, allowing you to focus on your well-being from the comfort of your home or any space where you feel at ease.

FAQ

  • We specialize in sex therapy and psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and groups. We also offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, as well as training and support for other mental health professionals.

  • It’s worth asking! If we aren’t taking new clients or for some reason we aren’t the right fit, we’d love to offer suggestions about who else you might want to contact. Atlanta is fortunate to have a lot of good therapists and we always love helping people land on the right sofa, virtually or in real life.

  • Our main hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend options as needed. Ask for what you need and we’ll see if we can make it happen. SPARK is a practice that aims to be available to our clients when we’re needed. To help accomplish that, we avoid overscheduling our calendars so we can keep space for emergencies or to add new clients in quickly. We know that by the time people reach out for help from a therapist, they’re usually interested in starting as soon as possible, so we try to make that possible.

  • Yes, we are pleased to offer both virtual and in-person sessions. Our office is in the Virginia-Highland neighborhood of Atlanta on a quiet, mostly residential street just off the Beltline between Piedmont Park and Ponce City Market. You may already know which option works better for you or we might figure that out together.

  • If you need help and you think we might be a good fit, email us and let’s talk. We might be able to help, at the very least by directing you to colleagues who would be able to work with you.

  • Our standard hourly rate is $250 for all clinical services. We offer group therapy and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy services at a lower rate. Details about fees can be discussed during an initial consultation.

  • No, we don’t. We understand that many people need or want to use insurance benefits for therapy, but at this time we aren’t able to offer that. Of course we can provide documentation as requested for out of network reimbursement or for HSA/FSA plans.

  • We recognize that therapy is expensive and that many people do not have money available for it, even when they really need help. To help with this, we offer reduced fee arrangements or payment plans for a large number of our clients. We can discuss those possibilities during our initial consultation, which is offered at no charge. If we aren’t able to accommodate your financial needs, we can make recommendations of other therapists who might be available at a lower rate.

  • This varies from person to person and depends greatly on what you want to accomplish. If you are interested in brief, solution-focused therapy, you’re in the right place. Sometimes a problem really can be solved in a session or two. In most cases, by two or three sessions we will have a good idea of what might be ahead for us. You have a right to be treated as efficiently and quickly as possible. If you’re interested in staying a while and doing longer term work, you’re in the right place for that, too. Therapy is definitely not one-size-fits-all at SPARK.

Ways To Get Started
